アザラシは、丈夫な毛皮と厚い脂肪で寒さから体を守っています。陸上では動きにくそうな体をしていますが、海の中では自由自在に泳ぎ回り、魚を捕まえて食べます。オホーツク海からベーリング海にすんでいます。
