アクアワールドにいるペンギンは、全てフンボルトペンギンという種類です。日本の気候に近い、南米のペルーやチリに生息しています。日本の水族館ではおなじみのペンギンですが、野生では絶滅が心配されています。
The penguins living in Oarai Aquarium are all Humboldt penguins. Humboldt penguins live in Peru and Chile in South America, where the climate is similar with Japan. Though they are commonly seen in Japanese aquariums, their survival is at risk in the wild.
